# Animatives vs Stop Motion Movie Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Stop Motion Movie Maker at 5.0 against Animatives's 4.3. Stop Motion Movie Maker also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 13 months). Animatives's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Animatives sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Stop Motion Movie Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
