# Optimum TV vs MOOV.

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Optimum TV at none against MOOV.'s 2. Optimum TV also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (26K vs 86). MOOV.'s advantage is review sentiment (53% vs 23%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MOOV. sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Optimum TV asks for nothing beyond the download.

Optimum TV holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Optimum TV has 26K ratings behind it against 86, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Optimum TV's written reviews are positive against 53% of MOOV.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Optimum TV ships an update every 3 months, MOOV. fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
