# CoachWATCH vs SwimHub Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: SwimHub Timer at every 3 weeks against CoachWATCH's every 6 months. CoachWATCH's advantage is iOS requirement (9.1 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CoachWATCH sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year and SwimHub Timer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CoachWATCH ships an update every 6 months, SwimHub Timer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
