# New Sight vs JoyTrip

The clearest difference is rating: New Sight at 3.0 against JoyTrip's 2.2. New Sight also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). JoyTrip's advantage is review sentiment (23% vs 0%) and ratings volume (51 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

New Sight holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JoyTrip has 51 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of New Sight's written reviews are positive against 23% of JoyTrip's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

New Sight ships an update every 3 weeks, JoyTrip every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
