# Are.na vs Hypelist

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Are.na at none against Hypelist's 15. Are.na also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). Hypelist's advantage is review sentiment (72% vs 52%) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ratings volume, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hypelist sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Are.na asks for nothing beyond the download.

Are.na holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 349 and 444 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Are.na's written reviews are positive against 72% of Hypelist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Are.na ships an update fortnightly, Hypelist weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
