# Are.na vs FindR

The clearest difference is update cadence: Are.na at fortnightly against FindR's every 6 months. Are.na also leads on ratings volume (339 vs 6). FindR's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Are.na against 5.0 for FindR. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Are.na has 339 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 52% of Are.na's written reviews are positive against 60% of FindR's.

Are.na ships an update fortnightly, FindR every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
