# 五年日记本 vs WanderMap

The clearest difference is ads: WanderMap at none against 五年日记本's shown. WanderMap also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). 五年日记本's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 70%) and ratings volume (18 vs 3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 五年日记本 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and WanderMap sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WanderMap holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 五年日记本 has 18 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of 五年日记本's written reviews are positive against 70% of WanderMap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

五年日记本 ships an update every 5 weeks, WanderMap every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
