# BaseConnect vs DEF Reset

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BaseConnect at 78% against DEF Reset's 29%. BaseConnect also leads on device support (3 vs 1). DEF Reset's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (179 vs 22). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DEF Reset holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DEF Reset has 179 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of BaseConnect's written reviews are positive against 29% of DEF Reset's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BaseConnect ships an update every 5 weeks, DEF Reset monthly. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
