# Heritage Auctions vs Bad Magic

Heritage Auctions and Bad Magic both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 87% of Bad Magic's written reviews are positive against 60% of Heritage Auctions's. Heritage Auctions's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 80). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Heritage Auctions against 4.9 for Bad Magic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Heritage Auctions has 5K ratings behind it against 80, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of Heritage Auctions's written reviews are positive against 87% of Bad Magic's.

Heritage Auctions ships an update every 6 weeks, Bad Magic every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
