# Pure Web Browser vs Amigo Browser

The clearest difference is rating: Pure Web Browser at 4.1 against Amigo Browser's 3.4. Pure Web Browser also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 15 months) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 13.0). Amigo Browser's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pure Web Browser sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Amigo Browser sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pure Web Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 43 and 80 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Pure Web Browser's written reviews are positive against 83% of Amigo Browser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pure Web Browser ships an update every 3 months, Amigo Browser every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
