# Owl vs Being

The clearest difference is rating: Being at 5.0 against Owl's 4.5. Owl's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and ratings volume (24 vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Being holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 24 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Owl's written reviews are positive against 67% of Being's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
