# Park Evanston vs NU Transit

The clearest difference is rating: NU Transit at 4.7 against Park Evanston's 4.3. NU Transit also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 15 months). Park Evanston's advantage is review sentiment (18% vs 0%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NU Transit holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Park Evanston has 764 ratings behind it against 120, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of Park Evanston's written reviews are positive against 0% of NU Transit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
