# Charles' Notes vs Easy Notebook

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Charles' Notes at none against Easy Notebook's 1. Charles' Notes also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (73% vs 42%). Easy Notebook's advantage is ratings volume (135 vs 6) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Notebook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Charles' Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Easy Notebook holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Easy Notebook has 135 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Charles' Notes's written reviews are positive against 42% of Easy Notebook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Charles' Notes ships an update every 4 months, Easy Notebook every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 14, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
