# Hosted Games vs Vampire

The clearest difference is price: Hosted Games at Free against Vampire's $11.99. Hosted Games also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 87). Vampire's advantage is review sentiment (89% vs 77%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Hosted Games is free to download; Vampire costs $11.99 up front. Hosted Games sells 33 one-off in-app purchases and Vampire sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vampire holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hosted Games has 1K ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Hosted Games's written reviews are positive against 89% of Vampire's.

Hosted Games ships an update fortnightly, Vampire every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
