# Downpour vs E

The clearest difference is rating: E at 5.0 against Downpour's 3.8. Downpour's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Downpour sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and E sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

E holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Downpour has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Downpour ships an update monthly, E every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
