# Share Chat App vs Chingari

The clearest difference is rating: Chingari at 4.4 against Share Chat App's 2.7. Chingari also leads on ratings volume (216 vs 19) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Share Chat App's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chingari sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Share Chat App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chingari holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chingari has 216 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Share Chat App's written reviews are positive against 60% of Chingari's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Share Chat App ships an update monthly, Chingari every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
