# Gathered vs Proref

The clearest difference is update cadence: Proref at every 2 weeks against Gathered's monthly. Proref also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gathered sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Proref sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gathered ships an update monthly, Proref every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
