# ActBlue Field Tools vs Tribu

The clearest difference is rating: ActBlue Field Tools at 4.7 against Tribu's 3.0. ActBlue Field Tools also leads on ratings volume (3.5K vs 2). Tribu's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and review sentiment (80% vs 70%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ActBlue Field Tools holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ActBlue Field Tools has 3.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of ActBlue Field Tools's written reviews are positive against 80% of Tribu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ActBlue Field Tools ships an update every 2 months, Tribu every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
