# Sublight Empire vs Dune

The clearest difference is price: Sublight Empire at Free against Dune's $10.99. Sublight Empire also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). Dune's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (5K vs 2). On rating, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Sublight Empire is free to download; Dune costs $10.99 up front. Dune sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Sublight Empire asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Sublight Empire against 4.9 for Dune. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dune has 5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
