# VatScope vs Tippy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Tippy at none against VatScope's 3. Tippy also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). VatScope's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 3). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VatScope sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year. Tippy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tippy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VatScope has 1.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
