# Lens vs BetterSee

The clearest difference is update cadence: BetterSee at every 8 days against Lens's every 3 weeks. Lens's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lens sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and BetterSee sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lens ships an update every 3 weeks, BetterSee every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
