# King HD vs Batak Star

The clearest difference is rating: King HD at 4.7 against Batak Star's 3.4. King HD also leads on ratings volume (49 vs 8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Batak Star's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (80% vs 59%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

King HD holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: King HD has 49 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of King HD's written reviews are positive against 80% of Batak Star's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

King HD ships an update every 5 months, Batak Star weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
