# Flip vs Math Flash

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flip at none against Math Flash's 3. Flip also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Math Flash's advantage is ratings volume (104 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math Flash sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Flip asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flip holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Flash has 104 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flip ships an update every 7 months, Math Flash every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
