# TruGreen vs MyGCEC

The clearest difference is rating: TruGreen at 4.6 against MyGCEC's 2.4. TruGreen also leads on ratings volume (22K vs 19) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TruGreen holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TruGreen has 22K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of TruGreen's written reviews are positive against 11% of MyGCEC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TruGreen ships an update every 5 weeks, MyGCEC every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
