# DVR vs Parq

The clearest difference is rating: Parq at 5.0 against DVR's 2.6. Parq also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). DVR's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Parq holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DVR has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DVR ships an update every 4 months, Parq every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
