# Flip Timer & stopwatch vs Tempo

The clearest difference is ads: Tempo at none against Flip Timer & stopwatch's shown. Tempo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). Flip Timer & stopwatch's advantage is ratings volume (7.6K vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flip Timer & stopwatch sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Tempo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
