# HelloVPN vs Ostrich VPN

HelloVPN and Ostrich VPN both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 89% of Ostrich VPN's written reviews are positive against 70% of HelloVPN's. Ostrich VPN also leads on ratings volume (24K vs 4.2K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HelloVPN sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Ostrich VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for HelloVPN against 4.6 for Ostrich VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ostrich VPN has 24K ratings behind it against 4.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of HelloVPN's written reviews are positive against 89% of Ostrich VPN's.
