# Writing Wizard vs Paige

The clearest difference is update cadence: Paige at every 8 days against Writing Wizard's every 4 months. Paige also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 74%) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). Writing Wizard's advantage is ratings volume (5.2K vs 13) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Writing Wizard sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Paige sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paige holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Writing Wizard has 5.2K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of Writing Wizard's written reviews are positive against 100% of Paige's.

Writing Wizard ships an update every 4 months, Paige every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
