# Tally Manager vs Digital Counters

The clearest difference is update cadence: Digital Counters at every 2 months against Tally Manager's every 6 months. Tally Manager's advantage is iOS requirement (11.1 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tally Manager sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Digital Counters sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tally Manager ships an update every 6 months, Digital Counters every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
