# BroodMinder Apiary vs Bambu Handy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BroodMinder Apiary at none against Bambu Handy's 3. BroodMinder Apiary also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 88%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.0). Bambu Handy's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (40K vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bambu Handy sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. BroodMinder Apiary asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bambu Handy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bambu Handy has 40K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
