# Jami vs Grid

The clearest difference is rating: Grid at 4.7 against Jami's 3.7. Grid also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Jami's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grid sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Jami asks for nothing beyond the download.

Grid holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jami has 91 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Jami's written reviews are positive against 80% of Grid's.

Jami ships an update every 3 weeks, Grid every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
