# One Step GPS vs Solving

The clearest difference is ratings volume: One Step GPS at 2.9K against Solving's 5. One Step GPS also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Solving's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 79%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for One Step GPS against 5.0 for Solving. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: One Step GPS has 2.9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of One Step GPS's written reviews are positive against 100% of Solving's.

One Step GPS ships an update every 2 months, Solving every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
