# Summit Reader vs 快阅

The clearest difference is rating: Summit Reader at 4.8 against 快阅's 4.2. Summit Reader also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 24) and review sentiment (86% vs 78%). 快阅's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Summit Reader sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and 快阅 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Summit Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summit Reader has 1.3K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Summit Reader's written reviews are positive against 78% of 快阅's.

Summit Reader ships an update every 3 weeks, 快阅 every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
