# Hourly vs Day Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Day Tracker at 5.0 against Hourly's 4.1. Hourly's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hourly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Day Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Day Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hourly has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hourly ships an update every 4 months, Day Tracker every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
