# Hourly vs Shift Work Calendar & Schedule

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hourly at 88% against Shift Work Calendar & Schedule's 47%. Hourly also leads on ads (none vs shown). Shift Work Calendar & Schedule's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hourly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Shift Work Calendar & Schedule sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shift Work Calendar & Schedule holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shift Work Calendar & Schedule has 365 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Hourly's written reviews are positive against 47% of Shift Work Calendar & Schedule's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hourly ships an update every 4 months, Shift Work Calendar & Schedule every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
