# Defender VPN vs IDNotify

The clearest difference is rating: Defender VPN at 4.3 against IDNotify's 1.0. Defender VPN also leads on ratings volume (43 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). IDNotify's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Defender VPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. IDNotify asks for nothing beyond the download.

Defender VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Defender VPN has 43 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 0% and 0% positive.
