# Rippple vs TV Forecast

The clearest difference is rating: TV Forecast at 4.4 against Rippple's 4.2. TV Forecast also leads on ratings volume (663 vs 88) and iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rippple sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and TV Forecast sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TV Forecast holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Forecast has 663 ratings behind it against 88, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Rippple's written reviews are positive against 59% of TV Forecast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rippple ships an update every 5 weeks, TV Forecast every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
