# Phallaina vs CYOA

The clearest difference is rating: Phallaina at 4.7 against CYOA's 1.0. Phallaina also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). CYOA's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 37 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phallaina sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CYOA sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Phallaina holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Phallaina has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Phallaina ships an update every 37 months, CYOA every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
