# NimiTV vs PlayGridX

The clearest difference is rating: PlayGridX at 5.0 against NimiTV's 4.0. PlayGridX also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). NimiTV's advantage is ratings volume (34 vs 4) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PlayGridX holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NimiTV has 34 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NimiTV ships an update every 6 weeks, PlayGridX every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on August 13, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
