# iPass vs OneDrop

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OneDrop at none against iPass's 3. iPass's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iPass sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. OneDrop asks for nothing beyond the download.

iPass ships an update every 2 months, OneDrop every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
