# LogBook Evident vs Xcel Energy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LogBook Evident at 67% against Xcel Energy's 17%. LogBook Evident also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Xcel Energy's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 6) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Xcel Energy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Xcel Energy has 4.3K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of LogBook Evident's written reviews are positive against 17% of Xcel Energy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LogBook Evident ships an update every 2 weeks, Xcel Energy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
