# Lardo vs The Star App

The clearest difference is ads: The Star App at none against Lardo's shown. The Star App also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Lardo's advantage is ratings volume (37 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Star App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lardo has 37 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
