# SignUpGenius vs Safe DE

The clearest difference is rating: Safe DE at 3.0 against SignUpGenius's 1.2. Safe DE also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). SignUpGenius's advantage is ratings volume (155 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 9 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Safe DE holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SignUpGenius has 155 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SignUpGenius ships an update every 4 months, Safe DE every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
