# ExecuCar vs Alamo

The clearest difference is monetization model: Alamo at free against ExecuCar's paid. Alamo also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (23K vs 273). ExecuCar's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 51%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alamo holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alamo has 23K ratings behind it against 273, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of ExecuCar's written reviews are positive against 51% of Alamo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ExecuCar ships an update every 3 months, Alamo every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
