# A2V vs MudForge

The clearest difference is rating: A2V at 5.0 against MudForge's 4.0. MudForge's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 17 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. A2V sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MudForge asks for nothing beyond the download.

A2V holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MudForge has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of A2V's written reviews are positive against 67% of MudForge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

A2V ships an update every 17 months, MudForge every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
