# Annke Nova vs Mockingjay

The clearest difference is rating: Mockingjay at 3.0 against Annke Nova's 1.8. Mockingjay also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 months). Annke Nova's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (24 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mockingjay sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Annke Nova asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mockingjay holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Annke Nova has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of Annke Nova's written reviews are positive against 0% of Mockingjay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Annke Nova ships an update every 5 months, Mockingjay every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
