# stc tv vs Smart Oud

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Smart Oud at none against stc tv's 6. Smart Oud also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 49%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). stc tv's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. stc tv sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Smart Oud asks for nothing beyond the download.

stc tv holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: stc tv has 14K ratings behind it against 216, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of stc tv's written reviews are positive against 80% of Smart Oud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

stc tv ships an update every 4 weeks, Smart Oud every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
