# SwimRight Academy vs Backstage Pilates

The clearest difference is rating: Backstage Pilates at 5.0 against SwimRight Academy's 2.5. SwimRight Academy's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (19 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Backstage Pilates holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SwimRight Academy has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SwimRight Academy ships an update every 3 weeks, Backstage Pilates every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
