# B628 vs Sparkle Effects

The clearest difference is ads: Sparkle Effects at none against B628's shown. Sparkle Effects also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (10K vs 52). B628's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 52%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. B628 sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Sparkle Effects sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sparkle Effects holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sparkle Effects has 10K ratings behind it against 52, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of B628's written reviews are positive against 52% of Sparkle Effects's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

B628 ships an update every 5 months, Sparkle Effects every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
