# Optix vs Mindaire

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Optix at none against Mindaire's 1. Optix also leads on ratings volume (157 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Mindaire's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindaire sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month. Optix asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Optix against 5.0 for Mindaire. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Optix has 157 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Optix's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mindaire's.

Optix ships an update every 5 weeks, Mindaire every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
